OUR STORY

It started with a bowl of oatmeal nobody was excited about.

Two health IT professionals. A pandemic. A lot of beige breakfasts eaten on autopilot. We knew how to eat well — it just stopped feeling like anything. So we got curious, started experimenting, and ended up at farmers' markets watching people take a bite, pause, and say: "Wait… this is actually really good." That reaction is the reason OHME! exists.

Freeze-Drying

Freeze-drying removes the water and keeps everything else — the flavour, the colour, the nutrients. No heat. No added sugar. No preservatives. Just real fruit and yogurt turned into something light, crunchy, and shelf-stable. It's the reason our snacks taste like the real thing, because they are.

Many customers worry about the concentrated natural sugars in air-dried fruits, which become more intense as the fruit shrinks significantly during the drying process. Freeze-dried fruits offer a solution to this concern. They retain much of their original size, shrinking by only about 6%, which helps maintain a lower sugar density compared to air-dried fruits.

antioxidant

Freeze-dried fruits are increasingly recognized for their antioxidant benefits due to their ability to retain high levels of bioactive compounds during the preservation process. Unlike conventional drying methods, freeze-drying minimally impacts the phytochemical content, such as phenolic acids, flavonoids, and vitamins like Vitamin C and β-carotene, which are responsible for antioxidant activity.
